The project of developing a website for GBhome, a construction company, aimed to create an aesthetically pleasing, easy-to-navigate, and search engine optimized website to showcase the company's portfolio and allow potential customers to contact them easily. The methodology used included market research to understand the company's needs, creating a site map to organize the information, graphic design to reflect the company's services, search engine optimization, and using WordPress to develop the site using themes and plugins to add functionality. Unfortunately, the project was not completed due to availability and cooperation issues with the client, but the skills acquired were applied to future projects.
In this project, we used WordPress as the development platform to create GBhome's website. However, before starting to use WordPress, we first created the design and layout of the site using Figma. This allowed us to design the overall look of the site, colors, fonts and relevant graphic elements to reflect the company's services. Then, we coded the design using web development languages such as HTML, CSS, and JavaScript to create a functional prototype. Finally, we transformed that prototype into a WordPress theme to take advantage of the powerful features and flexibility of the platform to develop the final website.
